00s 'Donna Karan' Velvet Dress

Vintage 2000s ‘Donna Karan’ long evening dress. The dress is made from 2 layers of fabric on top of each other. The top one is a golden brown, black and dark blue velvet and it has a beautiful dévoré print that lets the gold fabric underneath peak through. The dress is cut on the bias and the hem is asymmetrical. The neckline is draped and the back is open with some thin crisscross straps. This is a really rare and collectable piece from the 2001 Fall/Winter collection (the last pictures are the original one from the runway picture and the one from the ad campaign featuring a similar dress in the same fabric). There is no composition label but the top layer feels like a silk velvet blend.

Size: There is no size label but I would say fits like a size XS or S. For reference, the mannequin is a size XS.
